Environmental healthcare

The West Coast Environmental Unit is a collaborative area for environmental healthcare in the municipalities of Korsholm, Kaskö, Korsnäs, Kristinestad, Malax, Närpes and Vörå (Mustasaari, Kaskinen, Korsnäs, Kristiinankaupunki, Maalahti, Närpiö and Vöyri). Environmental healthcare stations are located in Korsholm, Kristinestad, Malax, Närpes and Vörå (Mustasaari, Kristiinankaupunki, Maalahti, Närpiö and Vöyri). Environmental healthcare consists of food inspection and the supervision of environmental hygiene, the investigation of indoor climate control, the quality control of domestic water and bathing water, the assessment of health risks, the control of radiation as well as preparation for environmental emergencies.
